Charitable Giving

James Hopkins Trust

I am delighted to announce that the James Hopkins Trust has been selected as our Provincial Charity for the coming year.

For over three decades, the James Hopkins Trust has provided respite care and support for severely disabled, life-limited, and life-threatened young children across our area. From their wonderful home at Kites Corner, the Trust offers exceptional compassionate care - not only for the children but also for their families who face the most challenging of circumstances. They believe that every child deserves to experience joy, laughter and love regardless of their complex medical needs, diagnosis or condition.

See their work in action

To experience the impact of their remarkable work, please take a few minutes to watch this short video from the Trust:

Here is the James Hopkins Trust Video Story, where you can find out all about their services and key messages. I’m sure you will agree that this is a moving and uplifting insight into the lives they touch every single day.

Let’s start our support today

As we begin to support another wonderful local charity, I want to thank you again for your generosity and enthusiasm. For the last two years, we have achieved remarkable things together through our charitable giving in support of Cotswold Friends and National Star. I feel certain that you will be keen to continue this tremendous effort in support of the James Hopkins Trust.

To give our drive a strong start, and now that you have had the chance to watch the video, I would like to ask whether you would consider making an early donation to our fund. Every single pound you give will make a real difference to the James Hopkins Trust who are currently supporting over 100 children and their families.

But I want to be clear - there is no target or expectation. I know that there are great demands on our charity from many sources. I simply hope that Lodges and individuals will donate whatever they feel able to afford. If you can make an immediate donation, or would like to set up a regular giving plan, please contact Dave Hedley who will be very happy to assist.

In conclusion, thank you all so much for your outstanding efforts on behalf of Cotswold Friends and National Star and thank you in anticipation for your support of the James Hopkins Trust. I look forward to seeing you soon.

Mark Well,

Brian Gargett

Provincial Grand Master
